Obituary for John Earl Foote
John E. Foote, 69, formerly of Billings, Montana, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014, at his home in Bigfork, Montana with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born November 13, 1944 in Missoula, Montana to Don C. and Stella Foote.
John was raised in Billings. He married Pat in 1966 and their daughter Andrene was born in Missoula in 1967. After John’s graduation from the University of Montana, they moved to Los Angeles, California. Their son Jason was born in 1970. After five years in Los Angeles working for Union Carbide and Security Pacific Bank, the family returned to Billings where John managed Foote Enterprises and developed the Billings Commerce Center. John and his mother, Stella, owned Pompey’s Pillar National Landmark. John was a past president of the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation. John and Pat enjoyed their travels, hobbies and building homes in Sedona, AZ; Jackson Hole, WY; Scottsdale, AZ and Bigfork, MT.
John will be missed by his family and all of his wonderful friends. He left us entirely too quickly. Rest in peace, John-John.
John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pat of Bigfork, MT; daughter Andrene Potts of El Dorado Hills, CA; son Jason Foote of Sahuarita, AZ; Three grandchildren; Sierra and Brittany Potts and Jace Foote.
A CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE WILL BE HELD THIS SUMMER IN THEIR ORCHARD IN BIGFORK, MONTANA.
